Designing discussion in public space.

Pop-up Forum explores how exchanges between strangers can be facilitated by design.

Our goal was to create a space where strangers come together to exchange opinions and personal views about a social-political topic. Promote a dialogue relevant to society, stimulate to explore thought experiments before votings and simple to discover prospects. The challenge was to develop a space in which anyone feels invited to join, follow a given topic, while agreeing or disagreeing.

The findings of our process were collected in a small open source booklet in order for others to start their own Pop-Up Forums. Here you find further insights in the ︎ process and the ︎ booklet.

The Project in collaboration with ︎ Nora Gailer was exhibited at the 14th Participatory Design Conference 2016 in Aarhus, Denmark.
